Support Worker – 31hrs pw (4 days per week) £21,123pa
Spectrum Northants is a charity supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health. We operate two Learning Centres, Charity Shop and Café in Northampton, and we aspire for further growth within the West Northants area.
We place our service users at the centre of what we do and pride ourselves on their having a fulfilled happy time. Our ethos, our motive is their achievement.
With a further increase in the number of individuals attending our provision, we are seeking a new Support Worker who is committed to our values and the needs of the individuals we support.
The ideal applicant will have worked in a social care setting, with relevant qualifications, and be able to demonstrate empathy and support to our service users who have a range of disabilities.
We are looking for applicants with drive, passion, good I.T. / Communication / Admin skills and ability to understand and follow Health & Safety / Risk Assessments. Commitment to and ability to positively contribute to a teamwork setting, alongside ability to work on own initiative are essential. An interest in cooking and gardening, with an ability to take an active part in the delivery of these sessions is desirable.
The successful candidates will have a range of skills and knowledge to enable them to set-up, monitor and assist Service Users in their daily activities. A full clean U.K. driving licence and Level 3 Award in Education and Training are welcomed.
