Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. This role is vital in supporting clients in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments.
Duties
- Assist young people with daily living activities, including mental health, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Administer medication as prescribed
- Provide emotional support and companionship to young people, fostering a positive environment.
- Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to promote a safe and supportive atmosphere.
- Maintain accurate records of YP’s care and report any concerns to the managers.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised support plans.
Skills
- Experience in childrens residential care settings is highly desirable
- Proficiency in first aid techniques and emergency response procedures.
- Strong behaviour management skills to effectively support YP with diverse needs.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and nursing principles is advantageous.
- Ability to provide childcare support when necessary, ensuring a nurturing environment for young clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

Pay: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
