Job Role: Support Worker
Location: Derby, Derbyshire
Salary: £13.10 - £13.80 per hour / £27,248 - £27,704 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Full-time

About the Role

  • Keys Group is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of young people aged 16-25 who are in care or leaving care and living independently within the community.
  • As a Support Worker, you will provide essential guidance and support to help young people develop life skills, confidence, and resilience as they transition to independence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing Support: Work within semi-independent accommodation, assisting young people with appointments, daily tasks, and community integration.
  • Empowerment: Act as a role model and mentor, fostering self-confidence, independence, and resilience.
  • Skill Development: Support education, training, employment, social skills, financial literacy, and budgeting.
  • Flexible Working: Provide 24/7 support on a rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • Experience in supporting young people, particularly those in care, is preferred. Personal experiences that enable empathy and understanding are valued.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empowering approach.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable young people.
