We are a Creative Space for young people and the wider community. We run an alternate education provision for Children aged between 11-17 (Monday-Friday 10am-14.00). Alongside this we offer various one to one sessions, such as: Music performance and production, Dj-ing/Mc-ing/Rap, Videography, Photography, Greenscreen, Streaming/broadcasting, Graphic design, Clothing design, Podcasting. We also hire out our space to artists, producers, bands, youtubers, film makers and podcasters.
Job description
The main duties for this job role will include supporting the Centre staff in the delivery of our alternate education provision. This will see you supporting young people to build up an evidence portfolio of their work (ASDAN courses). Guidance and training will be provided during induction.
The applicant would need a clean DBS in order to work with young people and a Grade C or above would be required for English and Maths.
It would be desirable if the applicant is able to drive and has previous experience of working with challenging young people, worked as a youth worker, within residential child care or has worked delivering ASDAN courses previously.
As we offer Creative arts as a way of engaging our young people it would also be desirable if the applicant had any knowledge or qualifications in Music production, DJ-ing, Graphic Design (Knowledge in Adobe Programmes such as photoshop etc), Play an instrument, Photography/videography.
