We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Lead to manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations for our pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient and compliant procurement and distribution of pharmaceutical goods, while working within quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role is vital in ensuring product availability, minimising costs, and delivering exceptional service to customers.

As a Supply Chain Lead your responsibilities will include, although not limited to:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to support business goals.
  • Forecast demand in collaboration with the Commercial team.
  • Balance inventory levels to ensure product availability.
  • Manage sourcing of raw materials, packaging components, and third-party services.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with vendors to secure favourable terms and consistent quality.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and assess supplier performance.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and finished products to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, GDP and other relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain high product standards.
  • Prepare for and support audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate with Manufacturing and Quality Control departments.
  • Support recalls or reformulations with logistical planning.
  • Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
  • Use ERP and inventory systems to analyse data and identify trends.

To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • 5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management or a similar regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP/GDP guidelines, and pharmaceutical logistics.
  • Proficient in using various ERP systems and supply chain planning tools.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with global supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with serialisation, controlled drugs and cold chain logistics requirements.
  • Strategic thinker with strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
