Overview
Reaseheath College is a forward thinking and dynamic College providing an excellent educational experience to over 4,500 students a year. Our Student Services team operate across the campus offering support, supervision and safeguarding for all students.
About the role
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join the Student Services team supporting delivery of the safety and wellbeing of all learners on site, with a focus on supporting and developing our students, including residential students, in their personal, social and life skills.
The fundamental purpose of this role is to develop our students and ensure a high student experience, this will include monitoring and supervising behaviours on campus and in halls of residence. The successful applicant will have good communication skills and be able to develop excellent professional relationships with young people and their parents/carers, curriculum and other support areas. The successful applicant will also be involved in locking up procedures and Campus security.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with the Head of Student Services and the wider safeguarding team to contribute fully in striving to achieve all elements of the National Minimum Standards.
- Contribute to ensuring students/customers stay and/or visit to Reaseheath is rewarding and enjoyable.
- Work to provide a safe and secure environment that enables students to develop personal, social and life skills.
- Take part in regular patrolling of the campus and accommodation buildings.
- Utilise College systems to full effect in order to maximise effectiveness of information shared including creation of reports.
The successful candidate will:
- Level 2 Maths & English or equivalent.
- Evidence of an excellent understanding of issues to do with equality, diversity and inclusion.
- Willingness to undertake training as required including First Aid, Fire Safety Awareness, Conflict Resolution, Customer Service and Presentation Skills.
- An understanding of OFSTED National Minimum Standards would be desirable.
- Full clean driving license.
