About the role

You will oversee the strategic planning for John Lewis Financial Services Marketing, establishing the marketing strategy for John Lewis Money in alignment with the customer strategy. You’ll work collaboratively to prioritise and sequence the marketing activity. You’ll build the roadmap of marketing activities using data-led insights to support the needs of the Value Streams and the strategic objectives.
  • Salary up to £110,000 depending on experience

  • Contract type - This position is fixed term / secondment until September 2026

  • Working pattern/flexible working - The Partnership has adopted a hybrid working approach, meaning you'll be able to work a mixture between the office and home based upon your personal needs whilst balancing the needs of the business. The team aims for around 1 day a week in the office to connect, usually a Thursday and mandatory attendance 1 day a month for FS Townhall.

Key responsibilities

  • Annual FS marketing strategy and plan in line with the customer strategy and business objectives.

  • Maintain reports and dashboards, including the JLM Brand tracker, to manage the 18m rolling activity plan, ensuring that data is accurate and of a high standard, and that data is visualised in a clear and accessible format delivering useful insight to assist in the optimisation of spend and activity.

  • Oversight and coordination of the Social Media & Programmatic channels to effectively contribute to full funnel marketing activity.

  • Contribution to the Business Planning cycle, including Budget setting for Marketing and QBRs and other performance reviews.

  • Support a culture of test and learn, through test design and modelling for potential performance enhancement, in collaboration with DI&A/Shared Capabilities

  • External agency management and cost management as required.


Essential skills/experience you’ll need

  • Financial Services & marketing leadership experience, working with effective controls and governance.

  • Highly effective written and verbal communication capabilities.

  • Proficient commercial acumen when making recommendations from evaluating and analysing complex data.

  • Proficiency in cultivating robust relationships with stakeholders.

  • People Management experience.

  • Experience interpreting data for insights using data visualisation tools, such as Tableau.

  • Understanding of social media and full funnel marketing activation and evaluation.
