We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide counselling and support to individuals, families, and groups facing various social issues.
- Advocate for clients' rights and access to necessary resources and services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in accordance with organisational policies.
- Supervise and mentor junior social work staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
- Facilitate workshops or training sessions aimed at enhancing community awareness and engagement.
- Stay informed about relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in social work.
Qualifications
- A recognised degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification is essential.
- Registration with the relevant professional body is required.
- Proven experience in a social work setting is preferred, particularly in areas such as mental health, child protection, or community services.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse client groups.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective advocacy and documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating initiative when required.
- Experience in supervising or mentoring staff is highly desirable but not mandatory.
