Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Foreman to oversee daily operations on-site. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Duties
- Supervise and manage a team of workers, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Coordinate daily activities and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Monitor work quality and safety compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to assess progress and identify any potential issues.
- Facilitate communication between team members and upper management to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Provide training and mentorship to new employees, fostering a positive work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any incidents that occur on-site.
Experience
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry is essential holding a CSCS Card and minimum SSSTS.
- Proven ability to manage teams effectively while maintaining high morale and productivity levels.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to the industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with diverse teams.
