We have a fantastic opportunity for a SHE Advisor based on site at Tilbury Docks.
Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.
The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!
Vacancy Details
In the SHE Advisor position you will support the Site Management and Project team in all aspects of SHE compliance and performance on a new project.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support the review of risk assessments and operational procedures.
- Complete SHE inspections in line with client and principal contractor requirements.
- Lead or assist in accident and incident investigations, and review submitted reports.
- Prepare and deliver toolbox talks and support in drafting content.
- Assist with the planning and delivery of Safety Stand Downs alongside construction teams.
- Carry out compliance monitoring, including Hand Arm Vibration (HAV) and Noise assessments.
- Support environmental and sustainability duties, including data collection during project visits.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the business and with clients.
- Contribute to SHE initiatives, producing safety alerts and communications where required.
- Represent the business at client and principal contractor briefings and meetings.
- Support site teams with all SHE-related documentation and compliance records.
- Deliver site inductions to staff and subcontractors as required.
Key Skills & experience
You will be required to have a NEBOSH General Certificate and/or NEBOSH Construction Certificate & a full clean UK driving license.
Experience working in a construction environment is essential, and you will need to have a good understanding of all SHE legislation.
