Senior Telecoms Designer (UK Based – Hybrid Remote)
£35k–£50k + flexible working | Shape designs that keep the UK connected
We're COM Design – a newly formed telecoms design business with a clear mission: to deliver high-quality, efficient CAD designs for UK mobile network upgrades. While we're a new name, we’re backed by industry experience and share close ties — including some shareholders — with the well-known COM Group Telecom, already trusted across the sector for survey and project services.
We’re already supporting rollout work for operators like Vodafone and Three UK and are now building a strong UK-based design team to complement our survey offering.
What you'll do:
- Lead and deliver site designs for rooftop, greenfield and streetworks telecoms installations
- Review survey data and photos to create complete design packs in AutoCAD
- Guide and support junior and experienced designers to meet quality standards
- Ensure compliance with client-specific specs (MBNL, CTIL, etc.) and industry regulations
- Collaborate with survey and build teams to solve design challenges early
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years in telecoms CAD design (mobile networks)
- Strong AutoCAD skills and a sharp eye for detail
- Ability to manage your own workload and multiple site designs
- Confident communicator — especially when reviewing or redlining work
- Understanding of design compliance, buildability, and H&S standards
