Wood is recruiting for a Senior Project Engineer to support across various high-profile projects in the UK. The DIL will join our Systems Integration team within our Digital Consulting business. 

Our Systems Integration (SI) team operate across UK; therefore, the role can be based at any of the following UK offices; Aberdeen, Staines, Reading or Glasgow on a hybrid basis.  

Please note applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check. 

The Role  

As our SI business continues to grow, we are seeking aSenior Project Engineer to join us for upcoming project awards in 2025. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong technical engineering background and a proven track record in ensuring on-time and quality delivery of multidiscipline critical scopes across high profile EPC projects across the Energy industry. 

We are looking for someone with expertise in project execution, engineering coordination, and multidiscipline management. You will be an integral part of the project engineering team, interfacing and building strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with all Consulting Project Management Office (PMO) standards, processes, and tools.

The key objectives for this role are:  

• Contribute to the development & implementation of project execution plans, ensuring alignment with technical and commercial requirements 

• Prepare and oversee Discipline Design Instruction and Contract requisitions; prepares project plans and multi-discipline documents such as basis of design, subcontract scopes of work  

• Effectively design, coordinate and integrate multidiscipline engineering inputs and deliverables across multiple execution centres including workshare/high value engineering centres knowledge, skills and experience  

• Possess a comprehensive understanding of technical work scopes including commercial aspects and has working knowledge of specifications and standards  

• Understands the concept of customer satisfaction and can deliver to internal customers, including other Engineering disciplines  

• Understands and knows how to apply the procedures and work practices which define and govern Engineering Management and Project Engineering deliverables  

• Able to lead Project Engineering team; able to manage between Engineering Discipline Groups  

• Effectively manage technical matters & coordinate interfaces with third parties

Expected:  

• Bachelor's degree or a master's degree in an engineering discipline  

• Previous experience working in a project delivery environment   

• Previous experience in peer review across EPC projects   

• Strong planning, organising and execution skills  

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at all levels of the business  

Desirable:  

• Professional Engineer or engineering chartership preferred
