Wood are currently recruiting for a Principal Instrument Engineer on a contract basis working outside IR35 & Hybrid working 3 days per week in our Aberdeen or Glasgow Office. We have opportunities on a number of large standalone projects and on/offshore modification scopes. Our clients are some of the largest global operators within the energy industry and the project work particularly offers long term opportunities.
Scope of work:
Provide Instrument engineering support to the Client contract as required
Execute assigned work in accordance with applicable contract procedures, client and project standards
Originate and check instrument engineering deliverables as required on Client Contract within budget and schedule
Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.
Manage discipline CTR’s, provide input to estimates, proposals, plans and progress.
Develop calculation packages as required
Perform site / client office visits if required
Present and describe engineering solutions and concept competently to both technical and non-technical audience
Organise, plan and coordinate own work as well as the resources assigned on a specific project.
Support quality & technical assurance activities as require
MSc, MEng or equivalent professional qualification or BSc, BEng or equivalent with some considerable experience or HNC / HND or equivalent with relevant considerable experience
