Skreens Park Activity Centre is a 57 Acre Activity Centre near Chelmsford, CM1 4NL. We have a large Lake for water sports and a Wonderful high ropes course, alongside many more adventurous activites and residential buildings. We are looking for a Senior Instructor who will support the Activities manager in ensuring the smooth running of the daily operation of the centre to provide our guests with a safe, fun, high quality experience.
We expect our staff to be trustworthy and dependable with an ability to excel under pressure and by your own initiative but also, fit well as part of a growing team.
Responsibilities:
Personal and Site Development
Lead by example with regards to general conduct, professionalism, motivation and enthusiasm.
Assist the Activities manager with staff training and support development through helping staff to attain relevant qualifications.
Assist with Maintenance of staff training records.
Contribute to new ideas and areas of improvement at the centre.
Health and Safety
Support Activity Instructors with routine equipment inspections on a monthly basis, rectifying and reporting defects and ensuring accurate maintenance records are kept.
Ensure staff are complying with operating procedures and regulations.
Assist with staff training and session monitoring to ensure best practices are being followed with both site maintenance and activity sessions.
Teamwork
Run morning meetings alongside the Activities Manager, and ensure notes are taken where necessary and that all activity staff on duty are present and understand the day ahead.
Help to generate staff rotas and coordinate programmes.
Offer concise, approachable and friendly advice.
Customer Experience
Actively promote high standards of safety, quality and customer experience.
Assist management with front of house services where required.
Offer professional and knowledgeable assistance to customers.
Ensure feedback is reviewed and take personal responsibility in correcting problems.
As well as:-
- To provide and run safe fun activity sessions for all ages.
- Take a Leading role and be part of the creative team to provide new and exciting opportunities for our Guests.
- To undertake both on site and off site training and learn new skills.
- General site duties including cleaning of buildings and activity areas.
- Have a ‘can do’ attitude and the willingness to pitch in with the day to day running of the site.
- Be able to work alongside and inspire other team members.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
