An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Senior Lecturer within the Pharmacy Department at the University of Huddersfield, to lead our very successful independent prescribing course. We are a thriving department offering excellent teaching and research facilities and are seeking to appoint an experienced academic pharmacist with a record of supporting education, professional development and research.
With a good first degree in Pharmacy, you must be a UK registered pharmacist prescriber with clinical pharmacy practice and relevant teaching experience. You will work with an experienced team to support the delivery and administration of the course. You should be able to demonstrate that you can support students through a range of methods and strategies to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
The Pharmacy Department is a great place to work with a supportive and collegiate environment and excellent research facilities. We are proud to hold a School level Silver Athena SWAN award, recognising our advancement in gender equality. We have a modern campus offering fantastic facilities for work and leisure. We have a diverse student body and professional partnerships with NHS and healthcare partners and we pride ourselves on our high standard of teaching and our multi-disciplinary research. The Department is looking to build upon these successes. You will be expected to establish a research programme or to undertake research to complement and enhance our existing work in the general area of pharmacy.
We provide an exciting, stimulating place to learn and work. Our standards of academic achievement are high, our environment is inspiring, and we embrace innovation in all that we do. With exceptional opportunities for staff development, our students are not the only ones who thrive here.
The University is deeply committed to equality and diversity for all its students and staff. We seek to be diverse and inclusive, supporting individuals and groups to fulfil their potential and nurture a sense of belonging. We strive to be an accessible, inclusive employer, removing barriers for all.
