Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for partnering with operational teams to deliver real business impact? Heron Foods is looking for a Senior HR Advisor to join our dynamic People Team, supporting our Warehouse and Transport functions at our Store Support Centre in Melton, near North Ferriby.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a strategic, hands-on HR role at the heart of a fast-paced logistics and warehousing environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior leaders in Warehouse and Transport, providing expert guidance on employee relations, performance, talent, and resourcing.
- Lead and support on complex HR casework including disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management.
- Work closely with operational and training managers to drive engagement, performance, and development across teams.
- Support and coach line managers to build confidence in delivering effective people management.
- Collaborate with the Training Manager to design and implement tailored training and development initiatives.
- Drive recruitment and succession planning to ensure teams are equipped for future growth.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, offering valuable people insights that support key decisions.
- Ensure all HR activity is compliant, consistent, and aligned to best practice.
- Provide HR metrics and analysis to support data-led decision making.
What We’re Looking For
- CIPD qualified (Level 5 minimum).
- Proven HR generalist experience, ideally within warehousing, logistics, or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident in managing complex employee relations cases.
- Proactive and pragmatic, with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and get involved.
- Comfortable influencing and working with senior leaders.
