SENIOR CARE
We work on a 2 week rolling rota. Including EVERY OTHER WEEKEND.
Hours: 7.00am - 14.30pm
52.50 hours PER FORTNIGHT.
PAY INCREASE AFTER 3 MONTH PROBATION.

Well-led: All staff are led by our deputy manager/managers. Ensure residents receive the highest quality of care based around individual needs and encourage learning and innovation whilst promoting an open and fair culture. Follow residents individual personal care plans and kept up to date daily on any changes, via the PCS system and management.
JOB PURPOSE:
To lead and support Care Assistants.
Lead by excellent example.
To complete all training and monitor care staffs training are completed.
To complete supervisions on care staff.
To provide a caring and safe environment for residents and colleagues.
Work as a team.
Ensure all Residents data is inputted onto our Personal Centered Software devices accurately and timely.
To ensure the standards set out by Care Quality Commission (CQC) are met at all times.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To oversee and support Care Assistants in the delivery of high quality care to residents.
- To act as guide and mentor to staff.
- Liaise with outside professional bodies.
- To liaise with family and Carers and feedback to management any concerns. Respecting issues of confidentiality at all times.
- To comply with all health and safety aspects pertaining to residents, staff and visitors.
- To ensure all requirements of the risk assessments are assessed and adhered to.
- To comply with the instructions and policies of Shenstone Hall, paying particular attention to responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act.
- To complete appropriate inputting of information / paper work.
- To monitor needs of the individual and inform the Management of changes in care needs.
- Be aware and maintain infection control measures.
- Maintain a smart and tidy appearance and always wear the correct uniform whilst on duty and correct use of PPE at all times.
- Attend training sessions / meetings as required.
- Report any accidents involving either staff or residents immediately.
- Ensure that any matters concerning residents are discussed only on a need to know basis, complying with confidentiality at all times
- Care Certificate mentoring on new carers.
- To be responsible for a team of carers and to ensure their welfare needs are met as well as the residents.
- To undertake any other duties as required.
