Acacia Care has arrived in Hinckley! Our newest care home, Granville Gardens, has recently opened its doors and the team is seeking Senior Care Assistants to join us on this exciting new journey. Providing residential, respite, and dementia care, with 68 state-of-the-art rooms for residents to reside in, spacious dining and lounge areas, and so much more, we are excited to be bringing this opportunity to Hinckley!
What you will receive as a Senior Care Assistant;
- £13.34 per hour
- Full-time, permanent contract
- 38.5 hours per week on a rolling 6-week rota
- 12 hours shifts, 3 on 3 off, 8am-8pm
- Based in Hinckley - LE10 0JD
What you will be doing as a Senior Care Assistant;
- Assist residents with the activities of daily living and personal care
- Supervise a team of carers, providing support and assistance where required
- Act as a role model for other care staff in respect of day-to-day activities
- Provide support at meal times
- Ensuring residents' independence, dignity and respect, by delivering the very best person-centred care
- Responsible for daily medication rounds, ensuring records are maintained
- Interacting with, and encouraging residents to socialise and take part in activities

What you will need to be successful as a Senior Care Assistant;
- Experience working within a caring environment
- Hold or be willing to work towards L3 in Health and Social Care
- The ability to communicate well and make others feel welcome and comfortable
- Supervisory and leadership skills, with a strong ability to motivate and inspire
- Willingness to develop new skills
