Senior Care Assistant – Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in delivering exceptional care within a residential care home setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Support residents with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meals, and medication.
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, offering guidance and training.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans based on individual needs.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
- Promote a respectful and nurturing environment for all residents.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Participate in team meetings to improve care delivery.
- Use IT systems for documentation and communication.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in senior care or a care home setting.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Level 3 Certificate in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) is required.
- Experience with care planning and understanding individual needs.
- Proficiency in IT systems for record-keeping.
