Brief description of duties and responsibilities:
- Manage SEND provision, ensuring individual requirements are met.
- Monitor and record children's development and support children with special needs.
- Maintain records and communicate progress to parents and professionals regularly.
- Assist in staff training on inclusive practices.
- Collaborate with management for effective SEN provision.
- Work with external agencies to support individualised provision.
- Implement the principles of EYFS. Contribute to planning, activities, and routines.
- Develop and implement personalised plans for children with special needs.
- Support children's care, play, relationships, and development.
- Support children with toileting and transitions.
- Administering First Aid and medication if qualified and filling in accident forms. Reporting Accidents to the management.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Qualification in early years education
- Experience as a SENCO
- Knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety, development and learning needs.
- Ability to assess and access children's development whilst being caring and compassionate towards diverse needs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 24 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Cheltenham GL51 3DD
