Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated SEN/SEND tutors to provide customised 1:1 tuition to our students from Key Stage 2 through to Key Stage 4 in core subjects of Maths, English and Science. Tuition will be provided in person in Chelmsford, and Maldon areas
You will be supporting learners with a range of complex needs, including but not limited to:
- SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health)
- Autism
- EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance)
- MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
Key Responsibilities
You will provide face-to-face 1:1 support, working with students from KS2 to KS4 in the areas of Chelmsford and Maldon. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivery of KS2 to KS4 Curriculum in core academic subjects.
- Provide an adaptable approach to education, ensuring each learner’s individual needs are met.
- Carry out baseline academic assessments to inform target support and intervention required and prepare lesson plans.
- Prepare and provide lesson reports including progress made
- Assist learners in transitioning to mainstream or specialist education settings as appropriate.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience teaching or tutoring children with SEN/SEND/SEMH requirements.
- Background in education with a passion and dedication for teaching.
- Preferred QTS or Higher Level Teaching Assistant certification; however, applicants with a minimum of two years' relevant UK experience without qualifications are welcome.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be compassionate, dependable with an initiative-taking mindset.

Pay: £25.00-£28.00 per hour
