As a Community Learning Support Officer for SEES, you will:
- Provide tailored support to address the social and emotional needs of children and young people.
- Foster independence and empower learners to engage confidently in community-based activities.
- Facilitate and encourage active participation in local community life.
- Promote a positive and engaging attitude towards learning, celebrating every achievement.
- Deliver effective 1:1 and small group interventions, following individualised learning plans developed by our qualified SEN Tutors.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with learners, families, and other professionals.
As a successful Community Learning Support Officer, you should:
- Have experience working in a specialist School, provision, or environment.
- Have previous experience supporting the emotional and social needs of children or young people.
- Have a good experience of working with children with behaviour of concern in the community.
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
- Be an enthusiastic educator with a dedication to supporting vulnerable young people.
- Have strong behaviour management skills and be confident towards managing challenging behaviour.
- Have experience supporting young people with autism, down syndrome, learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Have a child only DBS on the Update Service or be willing to make one through SEES.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
