Must possess valid SIA licence (Security Industry Authority Licence)
SIA Licence paid for on renewal
Must have a checkable work record for last five years
Job Purpose:
Maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees and the public by patrolling and monitoring premises and equipment.
Duties:
- Working various shifts covering days, nights & weekends.
- The ideal applicant needs to be flexible to cover static positions in the Plymouth and surrounding areas.
- Secure premises by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points. Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; reporting trespassers.
- You must be a good communicator both verbal and written, you may be dealing with local authorities and law enforcement agencies.
- You may be expected to deliver concise written reports at the end of your shift.
- Control of traffic on & off site
- Expected Skills:
- There could be a possibility that you will be required to walk some distance over rough terrain including during hours of darkness
- Experience as security officer preferred or training will be given.
- Ability to deal with uncertainty in calm and professional manner
- Knowledge of public safety management
- Possess good judgement, personal integrity and objectivity
- Good report writing skills
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Experience in surveillance systems
- Reliable and dependable
