Working within the Technology Data and Innovation (TDI), Archiving Technology group, the Scrum Lead (aka Scrum Master) is a servant leader and agile coach who helps the self-organizing, self-managing, agile team achieve its goals. The Scrum Lead is accountable for the agility of a team, the successful application of agile ways of working, and the removal of any impediments affecting the team. Enabling them to deliver their execution plans.

Your key responsibilities
- Provide support and guidance to their team – managing manage risks and dependencies, and removing blockers / impediments
- Embody the agile and lean values at the heart of our scaled agile framework
- Actively collaborate with the Product Owner/Manager to refine and prioritize the Team Backlog – especially when facilitating the team’s preparation for Quarterly Planning
- Facilitate the agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Team Demonstrations, and Team Retrospectives.
- Collect and present metrics illustrating the performance of the team, to facilitate their continuous improvement
- Work with the Agile Lead & Product Manager to assure strategy and execution alignment
Your skills and experience
- Experience of working in an agile environment, practicing Scrum, Kanban, XP, LESS or SAFe and sound understanding of DevOps practices; possessing Agile Certification and a strong knowledge of Agile fundamentals, values, manifesto and practical implementation
- Ability to create and manage metrics like burndown, burnup, velocity, feature lead time, predictability etc, and be able use this as evidence to coach the team on how to improve flow
- Effectively facilitate Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives
- Experience using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and GIT
- Experience of implementing multiple coaching techniques when working with Teams and Individuals (e.g. Active listening, powerful questioning, reflection, feedback, GROW model etc)
- Experience in working with Product Owner/Manager on refinement of the backlog ready for the Quarterly planning and execution Sprints
