Essandore Care is an Ofsted-rated “Good” provider offering high-quality support to children and young people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Sensory Impairments. We're looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team at our service in St Helens.
We have both part-time and full-time roles available, for waking night shifts. Shifts are usually 9pm to 9.30am and are available on either a 25 hour contract or 37.5 hour contract.
A full UK/EU driving licence is preferred, but not essential.
About the Role
No prior experience is required, but a commitment to delivering the highest standards of care and support is essential. We are looking for outgoing individuals who are prepared to go the extra mile and bring a positive, can-do attitude to their work. You’ll be part of a supportive team, with opportunities to work independently under your own supervision when needed.
Candidates who do not currently hold an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent qualification in Children and Young People will be required to complete this qualification as part of their role. We are committed to supporting your professional development and will provide the necessary training and resources to help you achieve this qualification while in post. This will enhance your skills and increase your career progression opportunities within our organisation.
Key qualities and skills we’re looking for include:
- The ability to stay calm and effective under pressure
- The initiative to solve problems creatively
- Patience, understanding, and a natural enthusiasm for helping children and young people to thrive
- A team player with a flexible approach, able to work across 7 days a week, including long shifts and some split shifts during term time (short morning and longer afternoon/evening shifts)
