Job Title: Residential Support Worker (Children’s Home)

Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and professional Residential Support Worker to join our team in a residential children’s home in Mickleover. You will be providing care and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and emotional development. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and guidance to children and young people in the home.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with residents, encouraging independence and personal development.
- Support children in education, daily routines, social activities, and life skills development.
- Maintain accurate records of children’s progress, incidents, and any concerns, ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding standards are met.
- Work collaboratively with a team of residential staff to deliver high-quality care.
- Act as a positive role model and maintain a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a residential care setting or working with children and young people is preferred, but not essential.
- A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting children in care.
- A full UK driving license is desirable but not essential.
