We are currently seeking a Residential Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to improving the lives of children aged 8–18 years with complex needs.
About the Role
You’ll play a key part in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that feels like home. You'll support children with a range of emotional, behavioural, and social challenges, helping them thrive and reach their full potential.
This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires flexibility, as shifts include weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins (paid at £55 per shift).

What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting children in their daily routines, education, and emotional well-being
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping children build life skills and confidence
- Assisting with appointments, activities, schoolwork, and community involvement
- Responding effectively to emergencies and safeguarding the welfare of those in your care
- Working closely with social workers, healthcare professionals, and families
- Writing reports, updating support plans, and communicating clearly with the wider team
What We’re Looking For
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Willingness to work towards (or already hold) a Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Prior experience in childcare or social care is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow clear protocols and guidance
- Strong communication and organisational skills
