Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in assisting individuals, particularly children, in their daily activities and promoting their overall well-being. This position requires effective communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to provide high-quality childcare. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel for various activities and appointments.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and assistance to children in their daily routines, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs, regularly reviewing progress and adapting as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to care.
- Assist with educational activities and promote social interaction among children.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in behaviour or health.
- Drive to various locations as required for outings or appointments, ensuring safe transportation for children.
- Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance skills relevant to childcare and support work.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is essential; this may include roles in childcare settings, schools, or community programmes.
- Strong communication skills are vital for effectively interacting with children and their families.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and reporting is advantageous.
- A background in developing care plans or similar documentation is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate mobility between locations.
