Job Role:
Resettlement & Integration Worker

Salary: £25,235

Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Contract type: Permanent

Location: Kingswood

Additional information: Travel across South Gloucestershire will be required.

Join Our Refugee Resettlement Team – Make a Real Difference Every Day

Are you passionate about helping people build new lives and futures? We're looking for a compassionate, proactive individual to join our dedicated Refugee Resettlement team in South Gloucestershire.

In this rewarding role, you'll support and empower individuals and families as they navigate the challenges of settling into life in the UK. From helping them access healthcare, education, housing, and benefits, to guiding them toward meaningful employment or activities — you'll be a vital part of their journey toward independence.

No two days are the same, and your approach will be person-centred, adapting to each family’s unique needs and aspirations. You’ll be equipping people not just with information, but with the confidence, tools, and knowledge they need to thrive in their new community.


Responsibilities include:

  • Take a lead professional role in coordinating multi-agency support around the family, including organising and leading meetings between the family and the professionals supporting them
  • Support families to access schools, English classes, suitable housing, welfare benefits, healthcare and wellbeing services, employment and training
  • Support families to apply for benefits, understand their finances, and manage their income/expenditure
  • Engage with supervision, reflective practice and learning opportunities with the Team and Julian House as an organisation


Qualifications / Requirements:

  • A valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle - business insurance will be required for roles involving travel to work
  • Ability to communicate and engage effectively with individuals and families with diverse, specific, cultural and complex needs
  • Understanding of the complex needs of Refugees who have experienced trauma
  • Empathy and understanding of the needs of Refugees who have experienced trauma and who have complex needs
