An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Research Fellow / Associate in the Forensic Research Nottingham working group within the Academic Unit, Mental Health and Clinical Neurosciences, University of Nottingham.

The purpose of this role will be to have specific responsibility for conduct of the research project ‘SMARTSTAFF’, a project about staff mental health and job satisfaction, which will be conducted online. You will be expected to plan and conduct work using approaches or methodologies and techniques outlined in the project design and will be responsible for writing up your work for publication.

You must have an MSc or PhD in forensic psychology, or a related field. The project involves recruitment online using a detailed survey, and a video interview, in a small subset of the sample. Recruitment for such work is challenging, and requires perseverance and creative problem-solving., Previous experience in similar studies is desirable. Other core abilities and attributes required include resilience, willingness to develop new skills, and interest in developing a long-term research career in forensic/occupational psychology. Forensic Research Nottingham is one of a small number of active forensic mental health research groups in the UK. Since its inception, the group has attracted significant funding from MRC, NIHR and MPS and led on collaborative research projects and high-impact publications.
