Duties
We are seeking skilled clinicians to join our team on a freelance, ad-hoc basis to conduct autism assessments remotely via a secure video platform.About the RoleYou will be responsible for delivering structured autism assessments and producing clear diagnostic reports to support patients and their families.ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule)1-hour assessment + scoring1–2 page report stating whether the patient falls above or below the diagnostic cutoffReport and scoring must be completed within 48 hours to allow smooth handover to the ADI-R clinicianADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised)1–1.5 hour structured interview1–2 page written report addressing DSM-5 criteriaReport to be submitted within 5–8 working daysAll patients will have completed a comprehensive pre-assessment questionnaire and informant questionnaire prior to their appointment. Suggested report templates are provided for consistency.
Requirements
6–12 months’ experience conducting autism assessmentsConsultant Psychiatrist preferred for ADI-R assessmentsExperience with both children (8+) and adults desirableMust hold appropriate indemnity insuranceMust be able to provide a redacted sample report (ADOS or ADI-R) as part of the application processAbility to work independently and unsupervised (contracted via a limited company)Strong attention to detail and timely report writingFlexible availability (evenings and weekends available)Pay (depending on experience)ADOS: £150–£200 per caseADI-R: £250–£330 per case
