Regional Trainer - Protect & Prepare (CTPSE) (12 month maternity cover)
We welcome applications for a Regional Trainer within Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE), a specialist regional policing unit which works with the UK Intelligence community to help protect the public and our national security from the threat of terrorism. The CTPSE training team falls under the Protect & Prepare work stream of the CONTEST strategy. The role will be for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
The Regional Trainer role is to plan, prepare and deliver CT training in line with the College of Policing Standards as well as facilitating opportunities for learning and personal development in accordance with CTPSE and national training standards and policies.
The successful candidate will have previously worked in a training environment and have experience of coaching or teaching groups. They will be able to work on their own initiative and have recent experience of undertaking problem solving. They will be expected to converse at a senior level and ensure that relevant processes and protocols are followed.
It is an essential requirement for the successful candidate to possess a recognised training qualification, such as a Level 3 Award in Education & Training. A good understanding of best practice in the Counter Terrorism field would also be advantageous but is not essential.
You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home. For this reason, a full UK Driving Licence is essential to the role.
Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad.
