We are looking for an experienced and Qualified Room Leader / Senior to work with a wonderful team based at Streatham House Nursery in Crosby. This is a full-time position all year round in a fantastic nursery. This is a full time post for 40 hours per week all year round with an annual salary starting from £27,664, part-time will be considered for the ideal candidate or working full-time over 4 days 7.30am - 6.00pm.
The nursery has an outstanding reputation in the local community and is in a prime location in Crosby. The ideal candidate must passionate about working with children.
The Room Leader’s main duties:
- Plan, prepare and support the smooth running of a creative and playful curriculum with colleagues in line with The Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Conduct baseline assessments and age appropriate assessments based on children’s individual development.
- Support children’s settling in visits, inductions, and room transitions.
- Communicate with parents/carers about their child’s development and keep them involved.
- Support and mentor team members with their Continual Professional Development.
Key Skills
- Must be Childcare Level 3 qualified (Essential)
- Experience working as a Room Leader (Desirable)
- Good knowledge of EYFS (Essential)
- Good knowledge of safeguarding (Essential)
- Minimum 1 year room leader experience (Desirable)

Except for occasional training you are not required to work evening or weekends. The setting is closed on all bank holidays, we also do not open on Christmas Eve!! The nursery closes over Christmas until the first working day in the New Year.
Safeguarding is our first priority. The successful applicant will need to provide evidence of their ‘right to work in the UK’, undertake a DBS, and provide satisfactory work references before they start their contract.
