About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and driven Protection Adviser to join our growing team in Hamilton. As a key member of our advisory team, you will provide expert advice on a range of protection products to individuals and families, helping them make informed decisions to safeguard their financial future.
You will be responsible for understanding clients’ unique circumstances, and recommending tailored solutions including life insurance, income protection critical/serious illness cover and private medical insurance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough fact-finds to understand each client’s needs, financial situation, and long-term goals
- Provide high-quality, FCA-compliant advice on suitable protection products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering exceptional service throughout the advice process and beyond
- Convert leads and proactively generate new business through referrals and networking
- Maintain accurate records using CRM systems and ensure all documentation is fully compliant
- Stay up to date with industry trends, product changes, and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with underwriters and providers to secure timely and favourable outcomes for clients
- Work collaboratively with mortgage advisers and other departments to ensure holistic advice is delivered
Requirements
- Proven experience in a protection adviser or insurance sales role within the UK financial services sector.
- Full understanding of protection products (life cover, critical/serious illness, income protection, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
- Ability to work independently and manage your own pipeline
- Strong ethics and commitment to providing client-focused advice
- Familiarity with FCA regulations and principles
- Relevant qualifications are essential
