This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of our experienced team within a leading Letting and Estate Agency, based at our landmark Reading office. You will be providing administrative assistance to our Corporate Property Management team, ensuring our customers are happy and our landlords are compliant.
The ideal colleague will either have an interest or some experience in the property industry.
ARLA Propertymark qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not necessary, as we will support you to gain your level 3 Certificate in Property Agency if this is of interest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the administrative functions of the corporate property management team, which will include:
- Basic day to day maintenance (tenant contact and liaising with contractors)
- Dealing with utilities and post
- Arranging and attending property inspections
- General works orders and chasers
- Collating reports
- Running compliance checks and arranging for renewals of certificates such as EICRs and gas safetys.
- Collating move in packs for new tenancies
Skills and Qualities:
- Strong organisational skills: Keeping track of multiple properties and tasks.
- Excellent communication skills: Interacting with tenants, owners, and contractors.
- Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in records and compliance with regulations.
- Customer service skills: Handling tenant inquiries and complaints professionally.
- Problem-solving skills: Addressing issues and finding solutions.
You will need to have, or are in the process of obtaining, your driving licence as there may be occasional need to visit our managed properties.
Hours of work
The ideal hours would be 20-25 per week, spread over the five weekdays, but we will consider other working patterns that may fit in better with your personal commitments.
