Are you passionate about driving positive change in local government? If so, we are looking for a Project and Policy Officer to support Local Government Reorganisation at HDC.
About the role
In this role, you will play a vital role in advancing Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) at HDC, alongside delivering key Huntingdonshire Futures projects. You will manage projects, undertake research, and deliver reports, working across the Council, external organisations, partners and stakeholders.
You will manage the Huntingdonshire Futures grant scheme and line manage the Place Strategy Support Officer who administers the scheme. This role presents a unique opportunity to make a long-term impact on the future of Huntingdonshire, its communities and neighbours.
About you
We are looking for someone with experience in managing and supporting projects, with strong communication skills. Your ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organisational levels will be essential in delivering optimal outcomes for Huntingdonshire.
Flexibility in handling diverse tasks and adapting to changing priorities will be crucial for success in this role. This position also offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance into management, as you will have the responsibility of line managing a Place Strategy Support Officer.
An offer of employment is conditional upon having the right to work in the UK. Huntingdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and is unable to provide a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) or take over sponsorship for any role.
