About the Role

Reporting to the UAS Build Team Leader, in the role of Production Operator will build complex UAVs in a safe manner from a kit of parts by diligently following engineering information and in accordance with the Company Operating System. In addition, there is a requirement to be involved in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.


Role Responsibilities


  • Assembling unmanned aerial vehicles in accordance with work instructions and from the kit of parts supplied.
  • Crimping connectors and soldering small components.
  • Assembling components and assemblies using small screws and nuts.
  • Checking work by using test equipment to verify correct assembly.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions to perform build tasks as part of an overall UAV build programme.
  • Get involved in problem solving to improve the build process.
  • Demonstrate in daily activities a commitment to health and safety in the workplace by always ensuring tasks are performed in the safest possible manner.
  • Report all hazards and incidents that the individual is party to, or observes, in the correct manner.
  • When required or directed, participate in any health and safety training.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

About You


Skills:


Essential

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Good communication skills.
  • Construction of electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Following both written and verbal work instructions.
  • Supporting problem solving activities to reduce non-conformance arisings and reducing build time

Desirable

  • A full valid UK driving license.
  • Evidence of regularly testing of your own work.
  • Experience with UAV and aircraft.
