About this role

We’re seeking a strategic and experienced Principal Programme Lead – Global Planning to transform our global marketing planning systems and processes. This role will optimize workflows, ensure system integrity, and implement cutting-edge technologies to empower our 450-strong marketing team. As part of our evolving Global Marketing Operations team, you’ll lead positive disruption, champion automation, and drive end-to-end planning improvements from strategy to execution. Collaborating closely with local and global teams, you’ll set a bold vision, influence senior stakeholders, and embed consistent, efficient practices that elevate planning effectiveness. We’re looking for a forward-thinking leader who challenges the status quo, inspires innovation, and brings teams on a journey to future-ready planning.

These are some of the key components to the position:

  • Strategic Planning System Evolution: Develop and implement strategies to enable teams to work more effectively and efficiently within our planning systems, ensuring we leverage technology for optimal planning outcomes.
  • Workflow Optimization: Revise the global marketing planning ecosystem, driving incremental improvements and streamlining planning workflows with technology, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
  • Planning Process Ownership: Manage a team member who will lead the planning process, ensuring it's agile, efficient, and supported by appropriate planning tools and systems.
  • Programme Development: Develop key programmes for agility and efficiency within our function, always seeking to integrate new technologies that enhance team performance.
  • Change Management Expertise: Act as a change management expert, training teams and demonstrating how to best support change, including adopting new planning tools and systems.
  • Innovation & Technology Adoption: Continuously monitor external practices and emerging technologies relevant to planning systems to inspire and implement innovative approaches, ensuring best technologies are in play for planning.
  • Process Improvement Backlog: Manage planning process improvement requests, ensuring stakeholder clarity and understanding technological implications for planning systems.
  • Measuring Success: Track and measure planning initiatives to prove MarkOps' value.
  • Tooling Optimization: Ensure planning tooling is fit for purpose, driving business cases for new technology requirements that enhance team capabilities in planning.

What will you bring to the team?

  • Proven experience in running successful, insight-led marketing campaigns with clear goals, using tech, data and creativity to drive excellence.
  • Broad knowledge of the full marketing mix, including TV, OOH, PR, social media, PPC, CRM, and in-app/web promotions.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders based around respect and mutual support for success.
  • Expertise in creating multi-channel campaigns and building creative brand platforms with quality and impact across TTL (Through The Line) marketing.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to plan, organise, and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously while remaining committed to achieving your goals
  • Results-driven, with the ability to execute quickly and efficiently to maximise impact while getting into the details when necessary.
  • Strong multitasking skills, able to manage multiple priorities, stay committed to achieving goals and work with various stakeholders across different levels.
  • Experience in high-growth, entrepreneurial environments, ideally within P2P, e-commerce, marketplace, or aggregator businesses.
  • Self-starter attitude, comfortable with change and thriving in fast-paced environments - build rapidly, test briefly and roll out successes quickly
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a strong work ethic, celebrate team wins, own your results, be happy to give and receive feedback.
