We’re looking for a Prep & Production Coordinator who will take the lead in our kitchen operations — ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Production
- Weigh, measure, mix, and prep ingredients according to recipes and portion guidelines.
- Check ingredients for quality and freshness before use.
- Arrange, garnish, and present menu items to brand standards.
- Work under pressure and meet time requirements without compromising quality.
Operational Coordination
- Maintain updated kitchen prep lists to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Support the team by ensuring the right ingredients and prep are ready for service.
- Work closely with management to maintain clear communication and operational efficiency.
- Manage food waste and implement sustainable practices.
Inventory & Ordering
- Take weekly and monthly inventory of dry goods, produce, and supplies.
- Place orders for dry goods and fresh produce, ensuring cost control.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and track food costs.
Cleanliness & Safety
- Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas are cleaned and sanitised daily.
- Enforce proper food handling, preparation, and rotation procedures.
- Maintain and troubleshoot kitchen equipment as needed.
- Uphold all health code, hygiene, and food safety requirements.
Leadership & Policy Enforcement
- Uphold and enforce all company policies and standards.
- Support training and mentoring of kitchen staff when required.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar food prep or kitchen leadership role (preferably in cafés, juice bars, or quick-service restaurants).
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Comfortable using inventory and ordering systems.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 45 per week
