- Suitable qualifications, which must be verifiable by the awarding body, include:
- QA Level 4 Certificate in First Response Emergency Care (RQF)
- FAQ Level 3 Diploma in Ambulance Emergency and Urgent Care Support
- Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working in a similar environment or relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to manage time effectively & deal with conflicting priorities
- Ability to be pro-active & use own initiative

Desirable
- Full UK manual driving license held for at least 1 year

Role
The role of a pre-hospital provider is to act effectively, safely & promptly to preserve life, prevent deterioration & promote recovery.
Are you passionate about making a difference and saving lives? We are looking for dedicated & compassionate individuals to join our team as pre-hospital providers. In this vital role, you will support other event healthcare staff in responding to calls for assistance, providing immediate care, and ensuring that safe & effective care is provided patients. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care & operating medical equipment.
The role involves working across all our contracts so if you enjoy variety this one is for you! ProMed’s current contracts covers mass gathering events, night-time economy, festivals, sports fixtures, film & TV productions and corporate functions. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about helping others during times of need.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Being committed to delivering high-quality care with empathy & professionalism
- Handling unique challenges of working in the event healthcare sector
- Proactively patrolling within the event footprint, being visible to attendees & colleagues, and being observant persons requiring assistance
- Dealing with emergencies, incidents & situations involving patients/casualties
- Ensuring a continuous duty of care to patients, within the scope of practice & competency of this role, ensuring an appropriate level of monitoring & treatment is maintained and continued until the patient is either discharged or transferred to the care of another healthcare staff member
- Communicating effectively with patients, their relatives, and other healthcare staff, in-person and via technology systems
- Working in collaboration with event organisers & other safety stakeholders to ensure a safe environment for all attendees
- Assess the risk to yourself & others, requesting more support if needed
- Carrying out & recording equipment checks, and reporting defects
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date patient care records & reports
- Recording all incidents (including near misses), compliments & complaints
- Cleaning of treatment areas, including first aid posts & vehicles
- Preparation of first aid kits & first aid posts
- Evaluating different approaches to solving problems
- Participation in ongoing training & development opportunities to maintain & enhance skills relevant to event healthcare
- Adhering to all ProMed policies & procedures
- Any other duties commensurate with the role
