We are seeking to appoint two Policy Research Assistant, to join the Pandemic Sciences Institute (PSI) Policy and Practice Research Group, at the University of Oxford. The research group undertakes applied research on the design and implementation of policy and practice (including public health) for pandemic preparedness and response.
You will be responsible for managing your own academic research and administrative activities within guidelines provided by Professor Alice Norton and placement co-lead. Selecting, following and adapting specialist methodologies, undertaking comprehensive and systematic literature reviews and policy analyses, as well as writing up the results for publication in peer-reviewed journals or for presentation at conferences or public meetings are key parts of this role.
It is essential that you hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject (i.e. global health, international development, tropical medicine, public health, etc.). You will be able to manage own research and administrative activities, and have excellent communication skills, including the ability to write text that can be published, present data at conferences, and represent the research network at meetings.
