ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Cardo Group are currently recruiting for a Plumbing Apprentice to join our team based in the Keith,Moray area.
The Apprentice Plumber supports experienced plumbers in maintaining and repairing plumbing systems across residential and commercial properties. This role focuses on service and preventative maintenance, ensuring tenants and clients have reliable water, heating, and sanitation systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures, pipes, drains, and water heating systems in occupied properties.
- Respond to service calls for leaks, blockages, or other plumbing issues under supervision.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and report findings to the supervising plumber.
- Replace worn parts such as washers, valves, and seals.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Follow property access protocols and interact professionally with tenants and clients.
- Ensure tools and work areas are kept clean and organized.
- Learn safe work practices and comply with health and safety regulations
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Interest in plumbing and property maintenance.
- Good communication skills for interacting with tenants and team members.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material needs.
- Physical ability to handle tools, materials, and moderate lifting.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing apprenticeship training
