Job Description
🚀 The Job Mission
This hybrid role requires 3–5 days on-site at Hinkley Point C in Bridgwater, with the remainder of the week working remotely. If you are relocating, we can provide a small relocation allowance to help with the move.
As a Plant Configuration Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of plant configuration records and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the project. With a mechanical focus, you will support the coordination of changes, manage configuration registers, and act as a key point of contact for your allocated systems.
- Actively support the processing and review of redlines on technical documents.
- Carry out surveillance checks to ensure accuracy of redlining processes.
- Maintain and update Plant Configuration Registers for your designated area.
- Manage the processing of design evolution requests and notices.
- Track and control applicable documents following updates or changes.
- Serve as the main configuration point of contact for your area.
- Monitor and track interfaces between work packages on the permanent works.
- Provide accurate data and updates to project managers and engineering leads.
- Ensure configuration processes are followed in line with project requirements.
Qualifications
🛠 Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
- Experience with configuration, design, or technical documentation processes
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Competent with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Clear and confident communicator with multidisciplinary teams
✔️ Desired Skills
- Experience in configuration or quality management within technical projects
- Understanding of large industrial sectors (energy, oil & gas, steel, or manufacturing)
- Familiarity with change management processes during design or construction
- Knowledge of assurance or auditing practices in engineering environments
