Job description
Bampton Garden Plants is seeking an enthusiastic person to over-see the Houseplant department. The ideal candidate will:
- Have knowledge of houseplants and how to care for them/or have limited knowledge but be very willing and very keen to learn (quickly!!)
- Be able to advise customers on where their plants will do best and how best to look after them
- Be friendly and helpful with good people skills
- Team player
- Keen interest for plants
- Be on the ball and spot when plants might need care and attention
- Good eye for displays and merchandising
Day-to-day
- Keep on top of watering, picking over and caring for all house plants including the botanical café, and the houseplants located around the centre
- Keep the houseplant department tidy, interesting and inspirational
- Maintain the aesthetics of the room as the stock sells, be confident to re-adjust, and merchandise accordingly
- AS part of the role, you maybe required to work and support in other areas of the garden centre
The position is for 22.5 hours per week, (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) or (9am - 1pm Monday-Friday)
