Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team in Saltburn. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the correct prescriptions in a timely manner. Your expertise in medication administration and patient care will be essential in providing high-quality service to our clients.
Duties
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications as per prescriptions provided by pharmacists.
- Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Conduct medication administration under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication usage and side effects.
- Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications and patient interactions to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medication administration processes and protocols.
- Excellent communication skills, with a focus on providing compassionate patient care.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.

You will need to have an NVQ 2 Qualification alongside previous UK dispensing experience and essentially to have some experience of working in a busy Pharmacy.
