Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications to patients. Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering queries regarding medications and their usage.
- Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including the counting, measuring, and mixing of pharmaceuticals as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all medications dispensed and ensure proper storage conditions are met.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other healthcare staff to ensure a smooth workflow within the pharmacy.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies when necessary.
- Uphold cleanliness and organisation within the pharmacy environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable, particularly in roles involving patient care or medication administration.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals alike.
