Job Title: Personal Assistant, self-employed
Location: Dorchester (central)
Hours: 16 hours per week – times and days can be discussed
Pay: £16.00 per hour, for a self-employed person
Mileage: Paid at 45p per mile, for my trips out
The Role:
· To provide support and assistance to me, a lady with Cerebral Palsy, I am an outgoing and friendly person.
· I need a Personal Assistant to help me live my life the way I choose. Getting the right assistance when I need it allows me to lead my life independently.
· I work part time, so the role may require some flexibility from time to time to support me to manage my work and home life.
· You will need your own car, which I can travel in. I am a wheelchair user and can’t transfer into high vehicles, such as SUVs and MPVs.
The job involves assistance with a variety of tasks. Like most people, my days can vary so it is difficult to list every task that is expected of a Personal Assistant.
Main tasks:
· Accompany on trips out in the community such as going to the shops
Support with socialising in the community
· Assist me with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning and planning meals
· Assist me to achieve my fitness goals, including swimming and physio exercises
· Accompany me to local events
· Accompany me to work meeting/events from time to time
· Accompany me to appointments e.g. GP and dentist.
· Assistance to help me plan my days and set targets
· Assist me to monitor and manage money and bills
· Some help with dressing and personal care

· Enjoys swimming
· Own car, with driving licence and business insurance
This role is subject to a DBS check and references.
You must be able to prove the right to work in the UK. No sponsorships are available.
