- 30 – 35 hours a week (contracted)
- Various day time shifts (between 08.00 – 24.00)
- On some occasions you may be asked to do a waking night shift.
- Starting salary £14.00 ph increasing after successfully completing a probationary period.
The role is supporting a man with complex health needs in his family home and out and about in the community and on holiday. The delivery of complex care is often detailed and needs a careful and methodical approach. You will be able to maintain medical needs while out in social environments, so he can enjoy being out. Full training and shadow shifts are given in all areas of this man’s care.
Care responsibilities
- 24 hour ventilation including Mouth piece ventilation and Bi- Pap
- Use of cough assist
- Giving medication
- Personal care
- Using a ceiling track hoist
- Assisting with feeding.
- Providing daily physio, once trained to do so.
- On occasions you will be asked to steer his electric wheelchair
