Are you a person who wants to make a difference in the lives of others? We are looking for a friendly person to work 20 hours (10pm to 8am) as part of our Wake Night Team in our rehabilitation service in Barnsley.
We support individuals with an acquired brain injury to regain their skills, confidence and independence with the aim to return home or to more independent living. The successful applicant will assist individuals in developing a good sleep /wake cycle, offer reassurance and support overnight. This role also involves some personal care, cleaning duties and some paperwork to prepare the service for the next day.
We don't need people with vast care experience as in-depth training and mentoring is given, what we need is a variety of different types of people who are kind, grounded, proactive people who love working in a positive creative team.
We have just been re-awarded the rare Platinum level in our 'Investors in People' accreditation! This is due to the support and development opportunities we offer staff, and our great workplace culture.
The role is to cover 2 x 10 hour night shifts per week, with the option to pick up overtime to cover night staff annual leave or additional day shifts. (A full-time/part-time/bank daytime Rehabilitation Support Worker role is also available if preferred.)
The ideal candidate would be happy both working on their own and within a team, be proactive and have a good sense of humour.
Please note mandatory training will be held during day time hours.
