We are seeking an experienced stylist with the appropriate level 2/3 qualifications to join our friendly team at Beaujolais, with at least 5 years salon experience. This is an employed post offering an hourly rate plus commission, holiday pay, statutory sick pay and contributions to a government pension scheme. Staff welfare is a very high priority.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate good customer service skills for our varying customer base and will share a passion for hair styling.
Responsibilities
- Provide a range of hair services including blow drys, cutting, colouring, and styling to meet client needs.
- Engage with clients to understand their preferences and provide tailored recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitised and ready for use.
- Support with front desk duties as required.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Proficiency in cutting, colouring and hair styling methods.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Enthusiasm about working with a full column of clients all day and for working supportively and co-operatively as part of a highly professional team.
- At least 5 years experience on the salon floor after qualifying to at least NVQ2 level.
Total pay, which is a basic hourly rate plus commission, will total £13 to £16 an hour depending upon skill and experience. On top of this the stylist can earn commission on product sales.
